My Favourite And Most Popular Recipes

Here on this page I will be listing some of my more popular recipes for you try yourself. For now they won’t be in any particular order or format nor will they contain instruction videos for now either, but I will give you the complete recipe and method to succeed in preparing a beautiful meal or delicious dessert!

My Favourite Yeast Donut Recipe

You’ll need the following ingredients:
34 1/2 Cups Plain Flour
10 – 12 gms of Yeast
3/4 Milk
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Butter
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
2 Eggs
1 1/2 Litres Cooking Oil

Method:
Sift togethor the Flour, salt and yeast. Rub butter into the flour mixture until it resembles bread crumbs. Combine milk and eggs and add to the flour mixture and mix until well combined. Turn mixture out onto a greased or lightly floured surface and kneed for 6 – 8 minutes until the dough becomes elastic and stretchy. Allow to prove 20 – 30 mins.

Kneed a second time only long enough to some of the air out so maybe only a minute or less even. Now roll out until about 2cms thick maybe a little less then cut to whatever shape you like, allow to prove another 15 – 20 mins until at least double in size.

Heat your oil up to around 190 degrees (centigrade), once hot test with a tiny bit of dough if it puffs up and floats then your ready to cook!



My Favourite Carrot Cake Recipe

210gms Brown Sugar
250 ml Vegetable Oil
3 Large Eggs
Pinch Salt
1/2 Teaspoon BiCarbonate Soda
280gms Self Raising Flour
4 Large Carrots (grated)
1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon of Nutmeg

Method: This one is great as the method is real easy! Simply mix your wet ingredients togethor, now mix your dry ingredients togethor. Combine both wet and dry mixes until well combined. Now bake in a well greased cake tin at 200 degrees (centigrade) for around 30- 40 mins or until a skewer can be poked through from top to bottom without coming back out with mixture still on it.

My Favourite Mudcake Recipe mudcake

1 1/3 Cups Hot Water
260gms Butter
225gms Dark Cooking Chocolate
1/3 Cup Cocoa
1 3/4 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Essence
1 3/4 Cup Self Raising Flour

Method: Sift dry ingredients, melt butter, melt the chocolate, now roughly mix into dry ingredients along with water, vanilla essence and eggs. Once thoroughly mixed and resembling a batter pour into a greased deep cake tin. Bake at around 180 degrees (centigrade) for around 40 minutes or until firm to the touch.

Royal Icing For The Mudcake
1 1/2 Cups Icing Mixture
1/3 Cup Cocoa
1/3 Butter or Margarine

Sift icing mixture and cocoa, melt butter or margarine and gradually add to dry ingredients while mixing it in to form a batter like consistency then pour over your cooled mudcake and allow to set.
